No on both counts. Family Defense Solutions is built for family safety first; firearms are one tool among several, never the spine of the program. We work with households that own guns, households that are considering them, and households that want nothing to do with them at all.
What the program covers, either way
Every household gets the same foundational four-phase work: an in-home assessment of entry points and sightlines, a written emergency communications tree and evacuation plan, decision-making frameworks for every adult in the home, and age-appropriate drills the whole family can rehearse. Firearms — and the safety and storage that go with them — are addressed only when (and to the extent) a household wants them to be.
If you do not own firearms, the program is still a complete family-readiness engagement on its own. If you do, live-fire training is available as an optional add-on through membership — never a prerequisite for the assessment or the plan.
